ALGORAND ADVISOR, PAUL MILGROM AWARDED NOBEL PRIZE FOR ECONOMICS

The Nobel in economic science was jointly awarded to the U.S. economists Paul R. Milgrom and Robert B. Wilson for improvements to auction theory and inventions of new auction formats.

“They haven’t just profoundly changed the way we understand auctions — they have changed how things are auctioned,” said Alvin E. Roth, a Nobel laureate himself who was one of Mr. Wilson’s doctoral students. “The two of them are some of the greatest theorists living in economics today.”

DELCHAIN ADDS ALGORAND TO IT’S PORTFOLIO OF DIGITAL ASSETS

Delchain Limited (Delchain), a digital asset financial services provider, announced that it will support the growing community of users of leading blockchain Algorand. Delchain will be adding the ALGO, USDT (Tether) on Algorand and Algorand Standard Assets (ASAs) to its portfolio of digital assets for custody, trading and staking (ALGO only).

ALGORAND FOUNDATION OCTOBER GRANT RECIPIENTS

The recipients of this month’s Algorand Foundation awards are helping to build the development tools, infrastructure, and research needed to make building applications with Algorand as easy as possible.

ALGORAND FOUNDATION TRANSPARENCY REPORT OCTOBER 2020

The Algorand Foundation is happy to publish its latest Transparency report, covering the period from February to September 2020. The Foundation will publish its transparency reports on a bi-annual basis to ensure reporting consistency and ease of comparison. Click here to view the latest report.

ALGORAND FOUNDATION, BORDERLESS CAPITAL AND ETERNA CAPITAL LAUNCH ALGORAND EUROPE ACCELERATOR

Algorand Europe Accelerator launched on the 15th of October to support early stage projects looking to build applications on the Algorand platform. Applications are now open until 18th December 2020. ALGORAND ASIA ACCELERATOR NAMES 10 BLOCKCHAIN STARTUPS IN INAUGURAL BATCH

Algorand Asia Accelerator by Algorand Foundation, the steward of the world’s first open-source, permissionless, pure proof-of-stake blockchain protocol, and Borderless Capital, the Algorand-focused blockchain venture fund, announces the launch of its program with its introductory debut of ten startups.

VERITX TEAMS WITH ALGORAND TO DELIVER LEADING DIGITAL MARKETPLACE FOR AEROSPACE MANUFACTURING

VeriTX Corp., the trusted marketplace for digital assets enabling decentralized manufacturing, announced today it will develop a digital supply chain for aircraft parts using the Algorand blockchain technology.

The VeriTX Platform, a digital marketplace that directly connects buyers and sellers of aircraft parts that can be 3D printed on-demand at the point of use, is building on Algorand’s public, pure proof-of-stake blockchain.

PLANETWATCH ACTIVATES INNOVATIVE AIR QUALITY MONITORING IN TWO KEY ITALIAN CITIES AND ANNOUNCES ALGORAND FOUNDATION GRANT

PlanetWatch, a French startup which is leveraging the Algorand blockchain to build a global air quality ledger, announced today that it has already activated over 100 sensors in the Italian cities of Milan and Taranto.

PlanetWatch builds its global air quality monitoring network by combining city specific partnership networks and the creation of a global community of individual air sensor owners.

Fast and seamless sensor deployment in these cities was achieved thanks to strong partnerships with Wiseair in Milan, a citizen association in Taranto and support from a grant from the Algorand Foundation.
