Age of the Metaverse : Changing The Face of Work & Crypto
Everyone is talking about it. From business executives to regular folks at the coffee shop. The metaverse has gone from being a remote concept to being the hottest buzzword internet technology has ever had.
What is it?
The metaverse is a virtual world that mirrors real-world exists in what is called an alternate digital reality. Here people can work, transact, socialize and play just as they would in real-time. This 3D virtual space will change the game in many industries as it paves the way for rich opportunities and an enhanced virtual experience for users of Web 3.0
However, two spheres of real-life will undergo a wide-scale change: Work and Crypto.
Think about what it felt like to regularly attend long meetings at work. Productive maybe. But sometimes it’s a far cry from what you’d rather be doing. The metaverse will change all of that by making work feel more like play. Because instead of going through the toll of traveling for meetings and then sitting for hours in those meetings, you can simply teleport to Beijing for a briefing with your boss and be back in time for an evening with the boys.
This meeting is an end to meetings that feel like chores and an all-around package where you get to experience places you’ve never been and also collaborate on a maximum level. Businesses can now create the best working experience for employees.
With different avatars becoming accepted, the work culture in the world will become more tolerant and less ridden with unconscious bias. In the face of projections which are merely fragmented representations of who we are, unconscious prejudice doesn’t stand a chance! Especially as we begin to embrace the fact that avatars don’t completely represent the human behind them. Pretty amazing if you ask me.
And the crypto world has a place in all of this. Though still an infant development, the metaverse has shown that is more than capable of taking tech to the next level.
Why is this possible?
The answer is simple. Blockchain, in general, is accepted as a major facilitator of metaverse transactions, ensuring safe and reliable data in a digital universe that is constantly changing. Seamless functionality on the metaverse is also guaranteed by utilizing an inflexible decentralized ledger to counteract cyber menaces.
Without a doubt, the metaverse is the next big thing to revolutionize the face of internet technology and the possibilities are endless.
